Why Assess your students?
Formative Assessments are informal assessments that happen constantly and inform your teaching on a daily basis. Formative assessments can come in many forms and are anything that help you informally assess how your students are doing. Most of the steps to melodic independence (see prezi on the right) are formative assessments.
